We are currently looking to recruit a motivated and skilled Database Developer professional who is eager to make a real impact. If you are ready to be a key part of our team at our Nicosia office, we would love to meet you and discuss how you can contribute to our success!

The role:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of database systems optimized for performance and scalability.
• Perform routine tests and evaluations to help ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues arising during development, deployment, and operational phases of database management.
• Help update database systems to incorporate changes, enhancements, and new features as needed.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for databases, including data standards, procedures, and metadata definitions.
• Maintain documentation that explains processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Collaborate with front-end and back-end development teams to support integration of database systems with business applications.
• Participate in application and back-end development projects as required, ensuring solutions are robust and scalable.
• Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries and scripts to support application development and data management tasks.
• Follow and help enforce security protocols to protect data and comply with regulatory requirements.

What we are looking for:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in database design, development, and administration, preferably with SQL-based systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server).
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Familiarity with data migration, backup, and recovery processes.
• Basic understanding of database security best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working collaboratively with development teams to integrate database solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Good documentation skills and experience creating technical documentation.
• Knowledge of cloud database services and modern database technologies is a plus.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
